RunwayTO introduces Sustainable Futures — a curated platform dedicated to supporting the next generation of designers redefining fashion through sustainability, innovation, and conscious creation.
This initiative brings together emerging designers and students whose work reflects a commitment to ethical practices, responsible materials, and forward-thinking design. From organic and recycled textiles to zero-waste methods, each participant contributes to a new narrative — where creativity and responsibility exist side by side.
Selected designers will present their work at RunwayTO 2026-LUMINARY, gaining visibility among industry professionals, media, and a fashion-forward audience.
Applicants from Toronto, across Canada, and internationally are welcome.

Designers are selected through a curated review process, ensuring alignment with RunwayTO's creative direction and sustainability values.

Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following:
- Portfolio, or lookbook (PDF or link)
- Project description (300-500 words outlining concept and sustainability approach)
- Overview of materials and production methods
- Designer information (name, location, contact details, and portfolio links)
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Early submissions are encouraged.
